FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHY
I consider most of my photography as "Art Photography" because so much is unique and different from traditional photographic standards. Many of the images are shot with a Holga Camera using 120 medium format film (squares). Others are taken with a Nikon D40. The Holga was created as a toy camera in Asia and sold in the U.S. as a Carnival Prize in the early 1980s. It quickly caught on to the photography scene because of its bizarre and unorthodox results stemming from its plastic lens.
Most of my favorite images have been captured on the fly or when I thought it really didn't matter. On the flip side, images that I've planned and worked hard for turn out so much differently that anticipated. And that's kinda the beauty in all of this.
All prints are made in the studio using archival inks and papers. They come in a multitude of sizes on canvas or premium semi-matte media. The 12 x12's are framed in black metal. Anything larger comes in a sleek, contemporary black wooden frame. If you're interested in a commissioned piece, you've come to the right place.
